Producer's Note

Welcome to our first production of the twenty-first century! You will have noticed that we have, reluctantly, had to put up the prices of our tickets. The costs of producing a play go up annually and it is some time since we last increased our admission charges. The following figures may surprise you:

  • 13 play books at £5.75 each plus P & P: £82.23
  • Royalties at £39 per performance: £195.00
  • Hire of hall plus electricity: £382.67 (this figure is for our last production)

Costs vary from play to play but these are three of the main expenses before a ticket has been sold.

The total raffle money last November was £286 and benefited the Evening Post Cancer Appeal, the Church Millennium Window Appeal and the Hall Restoration Fund.
