Dead Man's Hand

A thriller by Seymour Matthews.

Performed by STADS at St. Teilo's Church Hall, Bishopston on April 19th, 20th, 25th, 26th & 27th, 1990. Tickets cost £1.50, children & senior citizens 75p.

Synopsis

This captivating thriller employs a play within a play theme in a singularly exciting manner. At first it seems to be the usual Agatha Christie-type play - two couples lured to a remote Italian villa to be murdered one by one. It is only when this play is well advanced that we learn we are watching actors rehearsing their own murder mystery. An intriguing final twist unravels the real reason for the whole charade.

Those of you who attended our last production may remember that we held a raffle each evening (not to mention holding the first night audience to ransom) in aid of 'Children In Need', and I am pleased to tell you that we were able to send nearly £158.00 to the fund. Thank you very much.
